IELTS cancellation and refund policy
IELTS exam can be either be cancelled or postponed by following various set of rules allowed by the IELTS organization, to which we have agreed when registering for the exam else the candidates will not have the eligibility to claim the refund fee allotted by the IDP and British Council. This can be discussed with the Prestige Institute as this educational institute has guided many candidates for both cancellation and postponement of the exam and also have claimed the refund fee for them. Firstly, the reason should be a valid one and not a simple excuse as there will be experts to analyze the case and reason we submit. If any illness is cited as the reason for the cancellation or postponement, the candidates must provide a valid certificate for it to the organization as early as possible.
The above should be done with a time gap of five days prior to test else the refund will not be processed by them. To apply for it, the candidate should download the application form from the candidate profile section and fill it and send them by post as hard copies to Gurgaon office else scanning and mailing them to ExamsCustomerCare@britishcouncil.org will also be considered for refund. Postponement of new test date must be within a three month time of the cancelled test date. Fees if paid online, the account details will be taken for providing the refund. For further details and procedure for the candidates to claim the refund, please drop in at Prestige Institute.
