Paper test vs computer test

IELTS has recently introduced computer based test called as CBT for the candidates who prefer to attend all the modules in the computer instead of writing it down as they feel their handwriting would not be legible and furthermore, they are excellent in typing the writing essay part for task one and task two. Moreover the results will be received by the candidate within a five week time period whereas the pen and paper based test will take around a two week time period for the candidate to receive their score card. But considering the speaking part, it remains the same for both the exams as the IELTS organization feel the face to face type of interview is the best suited format for the candidates.

Considering the wiring part, even though it is typed in the computer, it is individually assessed by the IELTS examiners who are very well trained for the assessment as there is no auto program for the IELTS writing answer sheet correction. Listening and reading test are auto corrected by the algorithm programmed by the IELTS organization particularly for computer based test. Reading will have each question given at a single period of time and we are allowed to move back for re-correction or answering it later. Listening will have to be done by answering it directly unless the pen and paper based test where the answers should be noted down at the minute in the answer sheet. At Prestige institute, separate batch has been conducted for this CBT to make the students score their desire band.
