IELTS LISTENING
Listening in IELTS exam is the same for both academic and general training. In IELTS listening you will listen to recordings of native English speakers for about 30 minutes and the answer to your questions will be in the recordings so you should pay attention to the recordings and answer your questions. There will be 40 questions in total and 10 questions in each recording. Also you should pay attention to the recordings carefully as each recording will be played only once.
You will listen to four recordings the first recording will be between two people and the topic will be of daily social happenings the second recording will be a monologue about social happenings. The third recording will be between up to four people and the topic will be about educational or training faculties and the last recording will be a monologue and the topic will be about academic subjects.
The question types are as follows multiple choice questions, matching, maps and diagram labeling, note, table and flowchart completion and completion of sentence. Each question carries one mark and at the end of each section you will be given ten minutes to transfer the answers to the answer paper
